Socialism, Muslim or Capitalsim - You Decide 2008
Give me Liberty or Give me Death; Four Score...; A Day that will live in Infamy; We will not...; I have a dream - these are all great speeches. There is meat in them - meat that inspires people, meat that calls for our children to memorize the speeches, meat that is filling and lasts! There are countless others. These speeches do not come from mickey mouse Americans. No, these speeches were from red blood solid Americans that believe in America and the ideals it has so richly respected and defended. That is why I want to revisit and throw out my slogan for 2008: "Socialism, Muslim or Capitalism - You Decide 2008." Clinton lost DC. So, in effect, we could shorten the slogan to two idealogies, but I really think we could add the article "and" between Socialism and Muslim and obtain an accurate slogan yet. But Hillary tramples on. Personally, because of the antimosity of many in her party, the republicans and those who do not necessarily subscribe to a party, I did not think she would really win the nomination, but yet I thought she would. Sounds crazy but I felt it could go either way yet end up in her favor.
From the beginning, I did not think Obama had the chance. The fact is, I thought John Edwards might have the chance. Boy was I wrong. I based my thoughts on Arnold Schwartenegger (sp). If he cannot be recognized as an American, then surely a person with the religious and childhood upbringing that so conflicts with the roots, idealogy and deep down foundation of America could not proceed past New Hamshire. Maybe not even that far.
I am amazed at the ignorance of our society and culture. I am dumbfounded at our mind numbness. I am angered at the lies, manipulation, and superficiality being promoted. Obama's speech about "Change and Hope" was good, but nothing to it. "Change" what change? Really, what change are you going to bring Obama? I am American. Other than fiscal conservativism, judicial silencing through checks and balances, immigration reform and higher standards, less government, common sense mandates and true leadership - I don't want the "change" I fear you will bring about ... or allow. And the "allow" is what is scary. Environment, minimum wage, healthcare, war...these are not my interests.
So, though this thread will continue, I challenge you to not "drink the Koolaid" provided to you from the media. No - throw it down. Demand real questions. Seek truth. Google our history, our foundations. Search the fall and failure of other great civilizations. Base your vote this fall on solid, educated reasons! For an easy start - just click on my title!
