Hoof in Mouth Disease?
Much is being said about the run of disease and pollutants in New Orleans. What about what is being said outside and around New Orleans? Could much of it be Hoof in Mouth Disease? Otherwise known as Foot in Mouth? Read on...The ‘good’ Rev. Jesse Jaaack-sun and son are part of the left-ist movement to once again pin something on the white man. This would be yet another absurd conclusion to Hurricane Katrina. America is equal opportunity and where there is not EO there is Affirmative Action. There was ample opportunity for individuals to leave the city. Everyone – no matter the race or ethnicity – knows New Orleans would flood if a big one hit it. I do not live there and have only visited once – I know this. It is common knowledge.
Again, common sense would say – “somehow, I must leave this city for higher ground.” That means: by foot, by bike, by car, by motorcycle, by friend/relative/relation, by boat – you make it a point to leave. It is unfortunate that many left behind are black and of minority status. However, I have seen whites in photos. Death of common sense is an Equal Opportunity Offender. (Those excused of this: would be those in hospitals, etc). Let’s not play the blame game or the racist card – America needs to move on from this!
As for the recovery efforts: the left – with their loud mouths – ought to consider the fact that things are happening as quickly as possible. Communication has provided errors and omissions with FEMA, the Governor, and other officials – and these are non-partison errors. So, perfection has not been recognized. But even so, a calamity of this magnitude is stretching our abilities and failure is to be expected on occasion. What matters is whether we learn from it or not. Rev. Jesse and son ought to have figured this out by now: the American people are re-builders and love to help. Tragedy affects us all. Compassion wells up within us. Color fades. Status dwindles. Americans reach out and do so despite the negative rhetoric – and thank goodness, for without the American Spirit, everyone left in New Orleans would be “up a creek without a paddle.” Seriously.
