Bummed Out America
The testiment of our time is that we are bummed. Leadership in America pretty much stinks (I didn't use sux, because I am trying to encourage my kids not too). Worse yet - they don't get that they stink. ...and we aren't talking body odor!Morals are non-existent. Lies are the language. Ambiguity reigns. Tolerance has a strong hold - no, a strangle-hold on this nation. It is all crazy.
But the NYtimes has an article that indicates Americans think we are headed for the big "flush!" That is right - 81% of us say we are doomed and heading in the wrong direction. Man, what an opportunity for a candidate to shine! Won't happen though, because the media will not allow it.
First, we are not in a recession! By definition, we are not:
1) . The act of withdrawing or going back. 2). An extended decline in general business activity, typically two consecutive quarters of falling real gross national product. 1
We are in a slow down economy, but not a recession and we need to talk it up. The media is painting the worst picture possible so that the elections may be rigged. Granted things are tight and sometime appear bleak - but restaurants are full, techno gadgets fly off the shelves, new cars on the road, etc. Businesses aren't closing, new businesses are thriving. Travel is high - even with the gas prices. Mad at $4 gas - think about the cost of your coke...on a gallon scale! Or milk for that matter!
Perseception people. State of Mind. Intelligence - get out there and fight off the whining left media. Turn the TV off and enjoy life, your kids, friends and family. By a dog - that will change everything. We got a weenie dog (as my youngest calls her) - Lizzie Lu is her name and except for the potty training - she is great!
