Reading by Fire Hydrant - Political Must Knows!

Recent Barna Group Survey states that the 2008 election is up for grabs! Basically, this is what I have been saying behind the scenes of my notes. However, I do not relish the thought - it is absolutely scary. What's worse - we have an electoral college that has mostly voted per the populace. The EC was established to guard against the ignorance of the populace; however, in the nation's history the 99% of the time the EC has voted as we do. Bummer.

We are less informed, yet swallow more information in one day than even our parents did in several ... let alone what the young 13 original states dealt with. However, the quality of information we are forced to listen to is horrible and is largely a few second sound bite to a few minute news worthy report - filled with sound bites and "what they want us to know" information.

Add to that the school system that churns out meat heads en masse. There are a fortunate few that survive with half a brain or more that functions in reality and not the messed up historically inaccurate agenda that is pushed worse than drugs in the school!

And then, we are to vote. Vote and contribute to the single biggest decision of our nation. With one swipe of the pencil, click of the mouse, touch of the screen (or whatever action established by your state - God forbid we have stupid states left after the 2000/2004 elections where punch cards are still employed!) we effectively write history for 4 - 6 years or more. Clinton thinks he was good - not entirely true, he reaped much of his success - including the economy - from the Reagan/Bush leadership. Bush JR has forever fought Clinton's lack of backbone with the terrorist issues - terrorism was Clinton's legacy - period. He has paid dearly for it.

Inarguablly, the single largest, no brain reason why great care, discipline and knowledge should be accessed in the 2008 vote is this: When we select a President and we choose who will actually be nominated for the vacancies on the Supreme Court. I just read today, in an article I reference that six Supreme Court seat will reach the age of 70 in the next several years. WOW! Do you wish to remain American by nature of our Founding Fathers or do you wish to see America drastically change by judges who disregard the Constituion and the idealogies we were founded on?

Regardless of party affiliation, the more liberal the candidate the less constructional and constitutional the nomination will be. And this is something we need no help with - the trial lawyers are running amuck, amuck, amuck. McCain will at least stifel and put up a fight for more constructional type nominations.

I do not think our Founding Fathers could have ever imagined an ignorance, such a poor moral compass or lack of ethics in the political race as we see today. They would go nuts! This brings be back to Barack Hussein Obama - that's right, used his full name. Folks, they would absolutely go nuts. Sure, he is smooth, calm, non-retaliative and seems like he is on the fast track to the office. But then what? ...like the country song: we wait for "...fate to kick us in the butt!"?

No, wise up, pull yourself away from reality TV and the Clinton Broadcasting System (CBS) or the Clinton News Network and educate yourself! McCain may not be the best thing for us, but we do not have much else to go with...but at least we pick up less pieces in 2012! Not only that but he will fight terrorism, and will not put our Nation into the hands of those who wish to destroy us. The scary socialist ideas of Clinton and the scarier Nation of Islam that is silently sitting behind Obama is going to be very hard to un-work. I am telling you - don't drink the Koolaid - educate and make a good decision.

Otherwise, be politically sterile! Don't go out there and propagate yourself - stupidity breeds stupidity like maggots. Just shut up and let the people who really work hard and care about this Great Nation come to the voting booth for the decision. WE do NOT need busloads of ignorance ransacking the election.

Why, because the one time we need the Electoral College to change their oath to vote a certain way based on the popular vote - they won't.

God Bless America

Picking up a little side note regarding Obama's feelings or thoughts that we are not a Christian nation:

The three branches of government come straight out of the Bible. But the Founders were careful to state they did not want any religion to have control. This statement was expounded upon by Thomas Jefferson and has been mis-represented ever since. This is common knowledge, though sadly, kids are not learning this in school these days. It is not something that needs documentation and research. But we are emphatically Christian - otherwise, we would not be here. America would be French owned, or something, as the Pilgrims would likely not have come over to America for the reason of escaping England and the rule of the Catholic Church.

So, we are a Protestant nation - Christian has negative "extreme right, evangelistic" overtones - and the Founders were a mix of protestant faiths. I do not believe the Protestant faith to be the rule of the land, but to rule the land according to the foundations I believe a Protestant would be the person to do so - and who would understand the real meaning of T. Jefferson's "wall of separation."

The ACLU and the far left have done a great job in removing God from everything. It is sad. Because of the removal of God from America, we are becoming less and less morally solid. America used to be a nation set apart for its compassion, moral directives, philosophy and just plain backbone.

If nothing else this scares me with even McCain. I am not sure where this guy is in the grand scheme of things.

Bottom line, our country needs a leader that will be fiscally responsible, check the courts and keep them in line, stop bad law, remove the government, reform taxes and tax imports. Forget tax the rich - there's only about 5% of those and they are smart enough to use legal business maneuvers to hide money - you would too! We need a leader that protects the heart of America, stands against impostors, mockers and saboteurs.

Just not sure we will get one. God Help Us...

Hitting the Books

I do not like it when life throws you a curve...

However, a friend of mine came to my site...read my article and shot me an email. I laugh with my friend in that my blog goes from Disney to Obama! That is funny.

Anyway, in essence, this is the comment: "ok, educate me. I want to make the right decision in 2008. However, I can't find anywhere that Obama is Muslim. But he speaks plain and I understand him."

I thought, "this shouldn't be hard, statements of Obama's Muslim background have been tauted often." So, following my prescription, I Googled him and faced a curve ball of interesting, but splintered, results. As an opportunity to throw mud, the Clintons began a heated attempt to derail the Obama train by investigating his Muslim background as a result of several allegations in 2006. Much of it is founded on vague phrases and slippery considerations in his autobiography. Most of it disputed in snopes.com article.

If you Google "Obama Muslim Background" you will find the top three articles. These would appear to be split and leaning to debunking the idea that he is Muslim. If you Google "Obama Muslim, you get the same three articles, but with an interesting fourth article by Debbie Schlussel. This article is hot enough to have a recent update: 1/30/08. Worthy of reading, this 2008 article gives further creedance to Muslim tendacies in the Obama race. Google "Obama's Nation of Islam"... you get further creedance to this arguement. Much of it supported by his words in his book Audacity. Additionally, it does not help his situation that his church voted Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam (http://www.noi.org/muslim_program.htm) as receiptient of their highest social award (12/07). Click that link and ....

Researching "Obama religion" will get you a few other articles. In each of the instances, somewhere it is mentioned that he is Christian (over 15 years or more) - as if Christian is a majic word too. One article even went a step further and mentions "born again." Another brings up Mormon, as if to throw the pendelum of dispair to the Romney Camp...as if they were short of despair...

However, I must say that in the last hour of hunting and reading, I have not come to a solid conclusion. In fact, it seems that everyone has kinda forgotten about it - even though it was in the news as recently as the end of January. Fox News has all but quit when it seemed they were just lying as bad as the liberal media. CNN went to Indonesia and did not find much, but walked away saying the schools seemed pretty westernized...not so much religious as just a school that is Muslim.

Bottom line...at this time, I am wary. Debbie Schlussel's blog (hyper linked above via title click) definitely has my eye. Further, Obama's own words from Audacity give me rise for concern. I disagree with his statement that: "We are no longer just a Christian nation...We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers[.]"; as I beleive, regardless of what is minority is currently the loudest, our national roots are inarguably Protestant. There are no buts about it...except this one: "but I will have to save this for another day..."

Today, due to tolerance, judicial liberalism and unchecked law writing, general liberal tennants, environmentalism, big money liberalists, foreign slander, greed, immorality and a host of other reasons, America is certainly "less Christian" in actions. This sad reality does not change who we are or how we were built any more than my actions change who I am. However, my actions may solicit a different perspective and without discipline, correction, boundaries, responsibility and self-government I too would become a tolerant mess. And, on this, I would agree with Obama.

To my friend...I say thank you for shooting me an email. Yes, there are nine months to go. Maybe, we will see the truth and we will be able to vote clearly. But, I hope this article gives a bit of insight into the fact that, though my slogan "Socialism, Muslim or Capitalism...You Decide 2008" may not be totally and errefutably right...there is merit. There is something lurking in the shadows and Obama isn't bringing up the lights.

Socialism, Muslim or Capitalsim - You Decide 2008

Give me Liberty or Give me Death; Four Score...; A Day that will live in Infamy; We will not...; I have a dream - these are all great speeches. There is meat in them - meat that inspires people, meat that calls for our children to memorize the speeches, meat that is filling and lasts! There are countless others. These speeches do not come from mickey mouse Americans. No, these speeches were from red blood solid Americans that believe in America and the ideals it has so richly respected and defended.

That is why I want to revisit and throw out my slogan for 2008: "Socialism, Muslim or Capitalism - You Decide 2008." Clinton lost DC. So, in effect, we could shorten the slogan to two idealogies, but I really think we could add the article "and" between Socialism and Muslim and obtain an accurate slogan yet. But Hillary tramples on. Personally, because of the antimosity of many in her party, the republicans and those who do not necessarily subscribe to a party, I did not think she would really win the nomination, but yet I thought she would. Sounds crazy but I felt it could go either way yet end up in her favor.

From the beginning, I did not think Obama had the chance. The fact is, I thought John Edwards might have the chance. Boy was I wrong. I based my thoughts on Arnold Schwartenegger (sp). If he cannot be recognized as an American, then surely a person with the religious and childhood upbringing that so conflicts with the roots, idealogy and deep down foundation of America could not proceed past New Hamshire. Maybe not even that far.

I am amazed at the ignorance of our society and culture. I am dumbfounded at our mind numbness. I am angered at the lies, manipulation, and superficiality being promoted. Obama's speech about "Change and Hope" was good, but nothing to it. "Change" what change? Really, what change are you going to bring Obama? I am American. Other than fiscal conservativism, judicial silencing through checks and balances, immigration reform and higher standards, less government, common sense mandates and true leadership - I don't want the "change" I fear you will bring about ... or allow. And the "allow" is what is scary. Environment, minimum wage, healthcare, war...these are not my interests.

So, though this thread will continue, I challenge you to not "drink the Koolaid" provided to you from the media. No - throw it down. Demand real questions. Seek truth. Google our history, our foundations. Search the fall and failure of other great civilizations. Base your vote this fall on solid, educated reasons! For an easy start - just click on my title!

Been Too Long - Disillusionment

I have to admit. . . it has been a long time. Really long.

It is sad and somewhat embarrassing, but then, it is not. The last couple years have been a blessing with so many memories that I'd never trade. In just the last few months I saw over 15 states in the Union - The United States of America - with my family!

Saw the Grand Canyon again. . . wow. . . talk about majesty - it was amazing.

Visited the Pacific, Gult and Lake Michigan; deserts and mountains. Totally and absolutely wonderful. America is a majestic land!

Here we are again on the brink of some spectacular mud-slinging and bashing from the coffee table to the White House. I just cannot figure why our great President - though mis-lead in many ways - did not groom a follower. It is unfathomable to me.

McCain - too moderate, frustrating and signs with Pelosi and Kennedy
Huckabee - yet to be seen

Then you have the Dems. America would be so much better off if the Democrats understood history, foundations, common sense and America as a culture of its own. We need Dems, and what they say keeps radicals on the right at bay. But, they target America as evil and want to silence, cut her off and destroy the legacy of liberty, justice and freedom. They are overly tolerate, blind to what is sucking life out of America and do not get the common man. There are more rich liberals than you can shake a stick at - they are so out of touch.

Where is Reagan. Dead. Bummer. Why did Republicans loose who they are? We have got to get back to fiscal responsibility, strong defense, minimal government and government cutting, anti-amnesty, new fuel creation from non-depleting resources, stronger laws governing immigrants and citizenship enforcement. Do not speak to me about baseball players, abortion, economy, environmentalism and such - not until we get the big stuff back in line.

My slogan this year: Socialism, Muslim, Capitalism ... you decide 2008.
